As a woman in the STEM field, my entire life is revolved around science. I am the type of person who demands to see the proof prior to accepting anything to be true. However, this way of thinking formed a barrier between me and my spiritual self.  I realized I had lost connection to any form of spiritual energy, and longed to find something to believe in.

I began a new journey approximately three months ago when I committed to becoming a member of Nourishing Storm. Upon joining, I hoped to find myself and find relief from my internal struggles. As time went on, this not only occurred through my newfound yoga practice, but by reading Spiraling into Wellness. Through Kristin’s encouraging and kind words I began to make the changes I wished to see. Spiraling into Wellness is unlike any other mental/physical health book out there.

Further, the book includes several entries regarding the first twelve themes of Nourishing Storm. Within those themes are explanations of yoga poses and their effects on the body/mind, healthy snack and smoothie recipes, and activities to help facilitate reflection. I really enjoyed completing the journals and answering the questions throughout this book. I felt these activities really helped me uncover who I really was and what I wanted out of life. This book gave me the tools necessary to reconnect with my spiritual side. The difference in my spiral from beginning to end was remarkable.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking to make healthy changes of the mind or body, deepen their yoga practice, or all of the above! My experience with this book and Nourishing Storm has taught me that spirituality does not require scientific proof, you are the proof. – Natalie


Spiraling to Wellness is a fantastic book, suitable for any stage of your wellness journey. Kristin breaks each chapter down into an easy-to-read, easy-to-understand format, with information to guide and assist you. And I love that she includes writing prompts that make you stop and think about where you want your life to go. The book will gently guide you on a quest to reset your mindset, reboot your relationship with food, and help you become a better version of yourself. I keep the book on hand as a go-to resource when I need a little inspiration, and a reminder of what it is I am working towards in my life. Highly recommend! – Liz
