Beginner Classes: A Safe Place to Explore
-
CALM
CALM takes you gently through mindful postures and sequences of movement that are safe and accessible to anyone from beginner to seasoned yogi. The goal of this class is to promote relaxation, harmony and inner peace and to experience what true CALM really feels like.
-
RESTORE
Perfect for all levels, RESTORE brings YOU back. This restful practice, designed to restore the mind, body, and spirit, includes postures fully supported by props. Students will be guided to relax into each pose to feel renewed and RESTORED.
-
SUPPORT
Yoga can be for everyone, regardless of physical limitations. This class offers all the benefits of a yoga class…just with a little extra SUPPORT. Using chairs (as seats or support), you can expect to move through gentle poses that will enhance flexibility, improve strength and increase physical awareness while creating harmony among mind, body, and spirit.
-
BEGIN
Are you curious about the benefits of yoga, but don’t know where to BEGIN? This class is for you. Through a series of basic yoga poses, breathing techniques, and movement sequences, you will quickly discover how yoga increases flexibility and strength and fosters a sense of peace and wellness. Absolutely no experience is necessary. All levels are welcome, from first-timers to anyone wanting to get back to the basics.
Intermediate Classes: Slowly Challenge Yourself
-
BLISS
It’s the best of both worlds. BLISS is a blend of fluid yoga sequences and relaxing, restorative poses. In this class, you will flow through a medium-paced vinyasa, ending with a series of longer-held seated postures… all the while linking breath with movement. Yoga BLISS centers on bringing awareness to all the sensations in the body, promoting inner peace and BLISS. All levels are welcome.
-
SLOW FLOW
Slow Flow is a satisfying, rhythmic journey of slow and mindful transitions from one pose to another, requiring sustained control and concentrated effort. The class is designed to help promote personal power and strength in the mind, body and spirit. This is a great class for anyone starting a Vinyasa Flow or for those that want to slow things down and savor being in the flow!
Advanced Classes: Here’s Where We Build Heat
-
STRONG
Mindful transitions, sustained control, and concentrated effort make STRONG an irresistibly challenging class. The focus is less on the destination and more on the journey. Students tap into both inner and outer strength to build endurance, promote personal power, and learn to gracefully move through the world, both on and off the mat.
-
EMPOWER
Take Yoga Strong…add weights… and you have Yoga Empower. In this class you will challenge your body to dig a little deeper and engage even more muscles than you do in a regular yoga class, while synching movement and breath. You’ll love the potential results…improved bone and heart health, core strength, joint stability, and a leaner, lighter you. Your instructor will guide you through correct use of the weights and modifications. Weights are optional. All levels welcome.
All Level Classes: Come Just As You Are
-
YIN
Yin is a slow quiet practice that helps improve circulation, increase flexibility, widen range of motion, and alleviate joint stiffness. Low-intensity floor poses are held for increasing lengths of time for the purpose of making the body’s connective tissues longer and stronger. This is as much a meditative practice as it is a physical one and will give you the opportunity for peaceful contemplation as you settle into each deep targeted stretch opening up the space for suppressed emotions, thoughts, and feelings to release.
-
CONNECT
This class will integrate meditation, pranayama (breath work), and intentional vinyasas to move students through a tranquil flow that is designed to awaken, expand, and transform paths to reflection, abundance, and, ultimately, CONNECTION with yourself, others, and anything else you seek union with. Open to all levels.
-
MINDFULNESS MEDITATION
Mindfulness Meditation is a practice, balancing precision and gentleness. With clear concise instruction, practitioners learn about posture, awareness, and compassion. The approach taken in this class is the middle way. When practice is tight and rigid, it becomes challenging to cultivate compassion and kindness. When practice is too loose, discipline and focus help establish a routine that strengthens attention and clarity. The beauty of the middle way is that it is unique to the individual. It is something each practitioner discovers along the journey.
-
MINDFULNESS YOGA HIKE
Breathe fresh air, explore new terrain, and stretch it all out as we take our yoga practice into the woods. We’ll hike up and down rolling hills while weaving deep, relaxing poses throughout the journey, building strength, balance, flexibility, and a connection with nature. The hike and yoga practice is about one hour long. All levels welcome (moderate inclines on the trail).
-
HAPPY HOUR FLOW
Let’s TGIF together at Happy Hour Flow. Stretch out, shake up, and shrug off a week’s worth of stress through creative movement and expression that is accessible to both new and experienced yogis. Each week, one of our team of excellent instructors will be sharing their best yoga moves with you set to different music genres. So, come play with us, let yourself go, and set awesome new intentions for the days ahead.
-
COMMUNITY
Relax and release in a mixed-level vinyasa flow yoga class taught by one of our newly graduating “Root to Rise” NS Teachers. All levels welcome. A great class for beginners and the “yoga-curious”.
