Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yoga is for everyone, every shape, every size, and every level of experience. At Nourishing Storm, we love sharing the practice with new students as the benefits can be transformational and serve to fulfill whatever one is looking for: balance, strength, flexibility, peace, and so much more. You do not need to know anything or have any experience to begin yoga. We ask that you keep in mind that yoga is a practice and takes time. The best practice you can have is one where you listen to your body and we’ll teach you how to do that.

  • Please bring yourself, open and ready to learn something new, in comfortable clothes. We have mats and all the equipment you will need for any type of class. Feel free to bring your own mat and equipment as well.

  • We pride ourselves in being a small, intimate studio, so you get personal attention as well as feel there is enough space for you to stretch out! Currently, we allow up to 20 students live in the studio (though most classes are between 8-15) and if you choose to take a virtual class, well that is unlimited and can be practiced right from the comfort of your home!

  • YES! Since we only allow up to 20 students you will need to sign up to reserve your space. Also to join us virtually you will need to be signed up to get the link to join our class. Signing up takes about a minute once your account is created (and we even have our own app to save even more time, just look in the app store for “Nourishing Storm” and book right from your phone). If you are not sure how to do this, send us a message.

  • Since all instructors give modifications and variations for each pose, our classes are essentially open to all levels. However, the following classes are geared toward a slow, gentle practice that is great for beginners:

    • Begin (held once a month)

    • Calm

    • Restore

    • Chill

    • Slow Flow

    • Bliss

Whenever you feel ready you can progress to Brewing Storm and Bliss. If you are up for more of a challenge, Storm and Strong classes move a little quicker and are less instructional, but tons of fun.
